WomenEsteem International Community for Spiritual Business Women!

When you learn that change is the only way forward, you feel when you have to readjust your path. That’s why, starting today, September 11th, our community will address not only to business women, but mostly to “spiritual business women”. We have started our meetings on 9th of November 2017 aiming to gather together all the business women willing to support each other in their career. Our workshops were always a mix between business topics and simple human oriented practices that people may call “spiritual” because they are targeting a more profound part of the attendees, quite difficult to be included in the neutral business area. I have chosen this model, based on my profound believe and practice from my professional life, which defines the human being as thecenter of any business.    

The concept it’s not new, and you may find it in different companies. The reality shows that it’s a nice concept, good to be stated in companies’ “Values”, but when it comes to measuring the profit, the first cuts are affecting directly the human being – that “most valuable resource”, as we use to call it. And living in that environment each and every day, trying to “save some money” and increase the profitability, you may forget to measure your own level of “human behavior” and you may feel like losing yourself. But you are not. You are just changing your priorities.

During the last months, the majority of the ladies attending WomenEsteem International community workshops, mostly appreciated the profound connection with their own feelings in a business situation. We got there with our eyes closed, using imagination, relaxation and reaching a higher level of presence in Here and Now. These are not a custom in a business environment, even if they are clearing our minds and connects us with our true nature. One day, after closing a meeting, someone told me I am doing a great “spiritual work” in my workshops, although I have never considered my methods as being spiritual, but rather “human centered”.

Hence, for the sake of aligning to this general understanding, we will call them “spiritual”, and we will open our doors widely to “spiritual women” connected to a business, their own or just working for a company, willing to approach their professional life inside out.

Laura Maciel – “What’s one month? It’s not even a paragraph in the book of your life!”

I met Laura in the first “albergue” on the Portuguese Way of Saint James. She lives in in the United States of America, in California, but her origin is Mexican. The way she lived her life makes her a model for WomenEsteem International community and you are just one step away to discover why.

She had her first child when she was 18 and she got pregnant during College. 26 years ago, the US rules were against pregnant women in College and she had to fight the system to complete the last three months of her studies. She succeeded and two years after having her first child, she started studying to become an Ambulance paramedic. Four years later she enrolled into the firefighters school and she was the only women out of the four enrolled who graduated the program.

 

 

The current precent of firefighter women in US is 3%, hence why her job makes Laura a model for the women we are promoting in our community.

She is involved in a special program launched by the “The California Firefighter Joint Apprenticeship Committee” (Cal-JAC) and dedicated to promote the firefighter career among young women and recruit the ones who have what it takes to be a Hero. Because that’s how the firefighters are seen, and for sure they are the Heroes of our modern days! And when you add a woman in this combination, the message is even more powerful. By nature, the women have the power of creation, of giving birth, and saving other people’s live as a medic or firefighter, makes them even stronger and special.

 

 

For our Community, Laura is a true model because she managed to put together her personal life raising up two beautiful boys, Antonio 27 years old and Alfonso 21 years old, being a single mom, fighting the US system while she was pregnant, building up her career as a firefighter, being a daughter and becoming a wife. She is a great mix of all these aspects of her own Self, however she is more than that in the same time. She is a woman walking her own path and discovering new dimensions of herself, aspects she always had but they were quite for 47 years. 

Laura became an important part of my life. I’m watching her walking everyday, getting still (she is such an active person), paying attention to all the details outside and inside her own being, and just be… Here and Now! And she reminds me of myself, of my own journey in understanding my own light and my shadows. But the most important part is that she challenges me everyday to look and think from so many perspectives at certain things to be able to answer her questions. And that’s what I call mutual growth support, the most powerful skill women have!

 

So, Thank you, Laura, for stepping into my life so unexpectedly and walking side by side one of the most important journeys of our lives. We both think everyone should do the Camino and as Laura said today: “What’s one month? It’s not even a paragraph in the book of your life!”

 

 

Cristina Lotru, partener de drum al Comunității WomenEsteem International

Pe Cristina am cunoscut-o pe 10 mai anul acesta în cadrul unui eveniment organizat de Delta Guide – Reshaping Perspectives și dedicat promovării Coaching-ului ca metodă de dezvoltare personală și organizațională. În timpul atelierului din acea seară, am lucrat împreună un exercițiu de Coaching. Așa am intrat pentru prima dată în contact cu natura profundă a ei care m-a intrigat în primă fază. Ne-am revăzut după două săptămâni la întâlnirea lunară a Comunității WomenEsteem și atunci am înțeles că această cărare din viața noastră poate fi comună.

Cristina crede în această comunitate, iar valorile ei și intenția de a face lucruri minunate pentru a susține  femeile atât din mediul de afaceri cât și din alte arii de activitate, se mulează perfect pe ceea ce promovăm prin intermediul WomenEsteem. De aceea, cu energie, pasiune și curiozitate, se va alătura demersurilor noastre și va fi parte impoartantă a vocii WomenEsteem International în perioada următoare.  

 

Și pentru a face cunoștință cu Cristina și a înțelege de ce se potrivește poveștii noastre, iată câteva informații esențiale care vă vor ajuta să vă creați o primă idee despre ceea ce este și face.

Se autodefinește ca fiind ”cel mai mare visător profesionist” pe care îl cunoaște, iar activitatea ei susține din plin această afirmație pentru că este creatoarea blogului și comunității V.I.S. (Vindecare, Inspirație, Schimbare). Mai mult decât atât, Cristina activează ca Life Coach și este autoarea eBook-ului despre feminitate ”Călătoria Zeiței Interioare”, precum și speaker pentru feminitate autentică și mindfulness. În activitățile ei, îmbină instrumente și cunoștințe din psihologie, NLP, Analiză Tranzacțională, psihologie transpersonală, psihologie arhetipală, Life Coaching și consiliere pentru dezvoltare personală, precum și mindfulness și spiritualitate. 

 

 

Dacă ar fi să o surprind în câteva cuvinte, aș spune că de la prima interacțiune mi-a transmis că este un adevărat căutător de sine. Iar din generozitatea-i caracteristică se naște dorința puternică de a împărtăși rapid cu ceilalți minunile procesului de autodescoperire. Și face acest lucru cu pasiune, punând la dispoziția tuturor celor interesați toate mijloacele pe care le cunoaște nu doar la nivel teoretic, ci și la nivel profund în urma unor procese personale de integrare.

WomenEsteem International Community for Women’s Leadership

WomenEsteem International Community is one of the projects close to my Soul. I have started this community, WomenEsteem, locally in Bucharest, Romania in November 2017, however in my head this idea it’s bigger than what I had the chance to manifest during the last 7 months. The intention came out as a direct result of my professional experience in international business environments where women are always proving to be strong, determinate and extremely reliable, but most of all, they have this talent of being managers by nature.  However, the path of a women in business it’s not easy at all. That’s why, usually women tend to lose their native strengths by copying men’s behavior to be able to succeed. I used to do that unconsciously as well, and I didn’t get it right away. After some years, I understood I was losing myself on the way and decide to change the direction. It takes time, but it’s good for the Soul, trust me. 😉

Going further, there is another aspect, more profound I would say, that unleashed my inner voice and made me start doing concrete things for women in business. And that’s called competitivity and “killing mode” women activate against each other when having similar career objectives or when they sense another strong woman around, that could prove herself more suitable for a certain responsibility. Even if I can understand the psychological reasons or the genetical information heritage, I am not willing to “close the eye” and not trying to transform it. I used to build teams and create the needed professional environment to cultivate the natural caring spirit women have and it worked out very well. So, if it can be done at a lower scale, why not at a higher scale as well?!

That’s why I choose to dedicate my journey on the Way of Saint James (the Portuguese part) this year to women around the world that know they are able to do anything they wish to accomplish, but most of all, to raise the awareness that women together are stronger than anything else. The feminine energy is actually the creation energy and the energy of the subconscious. I’m sure we all have seen what 3 open hearted women can create in a personal or professional life. Whether they are friends or just open business women choosing to achieve their goals together, the results are astonishing when they are creating and working together. Now, try to imagine for 30 seconds and extrapolate that power of creation to 3.5 billion women around the globe! Wouldn’t be that something you wish to move towards at?! 😊

That’s a big dream, I know, but as Walt Disney used to say “If you can dream it, you can do it!”. Not overnight, of course. That’s why, WomenEsteem International Community’s campaign on the Way of Saint James stays under “One step at a time” motto.

5 years ago, I walked the Way of Saint James the so-called French part, and during the first day I had this profound understanding that to reach Santiago de Compostela, I just need to focus on each step, not on the destination. And that made my journey extremely insightful and amazing. 

So, ladies, WomenEsteem International Community calls for you to join this dream, to grow not only this community at international level, but the spirit SHE (as she’s a lady as all of us 😊) has and SHE desires so much to expand. “One step at the time” according to the “Camino’s spirit” we will manifest in the real-life Women’s Leadership as a blessing for this world, not as a competition with men.

THAÏS & STRÖE, brandul românesc care reprezintă Comunitatea WomenEsteem

Thaïs Coman și Oana Ströe, sunt două fete minunate și talentate, care au creat, au lansat și au așezat frumos atât în piața națională cât și în cea internațională, brandul românesc ce le poartă numele. Le-am cunoscut la finalul lunii octombrie 2017, la recomandarea unei prietene care mi le-a prezentat cam așa ”fete super talentate și cu bun simț”. Nu mi-a trebuit mai mult să vreau să le întâlnesc, iar din primul moment am știut că suntem pe aceeași lungime de undă. Două săptămâni mai târziu, le-am avut invitate în prima ediție a workshop-urilor lunare ale comunității WomenEsteem. Am vorbit atunci despre abilitățile native de management ale femeilor, iar Thaïs și Oana ne-au prezentat câteva trucuri în alegerea vestimentației la birou. Așa au devenit membre ale comunității noastre și au fost prezente, când una când cealaltă, la fiecare eveniment.

Au creat relații și colaborări frumoase cu alte membre în cadrul întâlnirilor noastre, iar acest aspect este diferențiatorul de bază al comunității WomenEsteem în piață.

Thaïs și Oana au oferit diferite piese din colecțiile proprii pentru unul dintre proiectele născute tot în cadrul WomenEsteem, #modellingafter45, al Mirelei Adamescu, prima membră a comunității noastre. O parte dintre outfit-urile prezente în fotografiile de portofoliu ale Mirelei sunt marca THAÏS & STRÖE.

De asemenea, pentru noua colecție lansată anul acesta în februarie la Londra, în cadrul evenimentului internațional Pure London, au colaborat cu Stagio Style by Georgiana Stavrositu, o altă membră a comunității noastre, care a asigurat partea de hair styling a modelului ce reprezintă imaginea catalogului THAÏS & STRÖE la Londra.

Și pentru a duce la următoarul nivel conexiunea noastră, începând cu întâlnirea din martie 2018, THAÏS & STRÖE va asigura vestimentația Dianei Georgescu, în calitate de fondator al Comunității WomenEsteem și cofondator al Delta Guide – Reshaping Perspectives pentru toate evenimentele oficiale desfășurate sub egida celor două branduri.     

Stilul vestimentar creat și promovat de către THAÏS & STRÖE este stilul minimalist, potrivit atât pentru ținute business, cât și casual. Cum arată o seară perfectă în Comunitatea WomenEsteem

La finalul lunii trecute, pe 29 martie, ne-am revăzut în București în cadrul comunității WomenEsteem, la deja obișnuita întâlnire lunară dedicată femeilor ce activează în mediul de afaceri. Seara se anunța plină de prezențe care mai de care mai interesante. În final, în urma unor ”accidente” de ultim moment, am sfârșit prin a avea prezente șapte femei minunate, care au dat consistență și sens acestei seri. Se spune că oricât de mult ți-ai dori să faci ceva sau să iei parte la o acțiune, aceasta se va întâmpla doar dacă ești cu adevărat pregătit să trăiești acea experiență. Ca atare, dintre cele 25 de persoane anunțate inițial, faptul că au ajuns 7, este o reconfirmare că undeva, lucrurile se așază așa cum este mai bine pentru fiecare dintre noi.

Am început această seară cu un exercițiu de conectare bazat pe tema întâlnirii noastre. Trebuie să mărturisesc că totul s-a întâmplat pe moment. Când ești ”pregătit” pentru o audiență mare și te trezești cu o realitate diferită de cea așteptată, nu-ți rămâne altceva de făcut decât să te adaptezi, să improvizezi și să lași o parte din creație în mâna cocreatorilor prezenți. Ca atare, am ales inspirația de moment și zarurile au fost aruncate!

Alegerile doamnelor prezente au conturat perfect ceea nu stătea în controlul meu și iată că ne-am ales cu un exercițiu cu părți adiționale la cererea participantelor. Ne-am jucat cu ”rigiditatea regulilor” versus ”libertatea de a alege” și am văzut impactul psihologic direct al setării mentale inițiale. Concluzia interesantă a exercițiului, simțită și conștientizată de către participante a fost aceea că atunci când alegi un cadru bazat pe reguli clare, chiar dacă ți se dă libertatea de a alege să fii spontan și să-ți creezi propria poveste, mentalul tău se mișcă într-un cadru delimitat, raportându-se la reguli care nu vin sub nicio formă din exterior, ci din interiorul tău, din propriul sistem de referință asupra a ceea ce crezi că poți să faci sau nu. În același timp, persoane care au pornit cu ideea de libertate a alegerii, au păstrat același sentiment chiar și într-un cadru limitat de reguli bine stabilite.

A doua parte a serii, a fost susținută de Mihaela Tatu, care ne-a provocat să ne poziționăm în ceea ce numim ”viața noastră”.

”Unde ești tu în viața ta?” și ”Ce faci tu cu viața ta?” au fost cele două întrebări de bază, care ne-au scos rapid din zona de confort și amorțeală rutinieră și ne-au făcut să ne poziționăm în timpul și spațiul propriei traiectorii profesionale și personale. Teoretic, zici mereu că știi unde te afli. Practic, când ți se pune o întrebare directă și cineva te privește în ochi transmițându-ți continuu și constant celebrul ”Cut the bullshit!”, ceva se mișcă în tine într-un mod nou și alegi pe loc să fii autentic, pentru că altfel de ce ai veni la un astfel de atelier, dacă nu să fii tu cel real, preocupat de ceea ce ești?

 

Și pentru că tot vorbeam despre spontaneitate și alegeri, Mihaela nu s-a limitat doar la poveștile noastre împărtășite pe baza celor două întrebări, ci ne-a provocat cu un exercițiu de dicție, transformațional! A povesti atmosfera creată în timpul acestui exercițiu nu este deloc ușor. Cuvintele mi se par prea stângace pentru a reda nivelul de conexiune pe axele ”tu cu tine” și ”tu cu ceilalți”. Cert este, că prin măiestria Mihaelei de a ne stimula potențialul de care cu siguranță niciuna dintre noi nu eram conștiente, am atins un nivel de profunzime a ceea ce suntem, pe care rar ai ocazia să-l conștientizezi într-o întâlnire de trei ore.

 

Și pentru că am primit și continuăm să primim o parte din cunoașterea și prezența minunată a Mihaelei, i-am dedicat ultima parte a serii. Am marcat în timp și spațiu prezența ei în comunitatea noastră, ca Membru de Onoare al Comunității WomenEsteem și ne-am distrat cântându-i ”La mulți ani!” cu câteva zile înainte de 7 aprilie, ziua ei de naștere.

A fost o seară a alegerilor conștiente, inspirate, de moment. O seară dedicată femeilor din mediul de afaceri, care sunt în primul rând, femei, ființe umane. Nu am vorbit foarte mult despre mediul de business. De data aceasta, afacerile au fost privite prin sufletul celui care se aruncă într-o profesie pentru un motiv. Cât este de aliniat acest motiv cu tine ca om, este întrebarea pe care ar trebui să ne-o punem cu toții, femei și bărbați, pentru că omul de afaceri nu se disociază de ființa umană care îl întruchipează. Tendința este de disociere, de a lăsa acasă emoții și trăiri specific umane, însă oricât de mult am disimula în mediul de business, înăuntrul nostru stă turcește omul care înghite în sec și se frustrează. Și la final, întrebările sunt ”Pentru ce faci asta și unde ești tu în viața ta?”.
